This is a Singer Automatic Buttonhole foot for a Singer sewing machine with 1-step buttonhole actually measures the length of the buttonhole as it is being stitched. Every subsequent buttonhole is sewn to the exact same length. Only the starting point of each buttonhole needs to be marked.
